C³ is operated by Ray and Kim, who together have a combined 35 years of experience working in various capacities within the emergency services and healthcare fields. Additionally, they have a combined 15 years of experience as training practitioners. Ray and Kim are not just a team; they are a husband-and-wife duo with a shared passion for care of the elderly and disabled. Their journey in serving others started from their hearts and together they have a wealth of knowledge and expertise to offer.
Ray began his career with emergency services, in particular fire and rescue services, where he served for 11 years. He then transitioned to work within the safety equipment industry supplying personal protective equipment to various industries, including the construction and pharmaceutical sectors. He then took on a pivotal role at a care provider initially overseeing care-work operations and later transitioning to heading up the care provider’s training section over a 13-year period, during which he achieved multiple qualifications in Occupationally Directed Education and Development Practices. Care-workers numbering in the hundreds have been directly trained by Ray and their reputations as quality caregivers has been well established all around the East Rand and beyond. He has now thrown his weight behind carrying on the good work through C³ Comprehensive Care Concepts.
Kim began her healthcare career as a care-worker, working for the same care provider as Ray, where she served 5 meaningful years. While Kim’s care-worker roles varied immensely, her passion lay with caring for dementia patients. She dedicated herself to providing exceptional service to those she cared for. Kim later transitioned to working as a nursing assistant alongside a doctor in general practice, a position held for over 8 years. Recently, Kim has been studying to obtain her training practitioner certifications. Kim’s experiences and insights are a driving force in the advancement of care-worker training and care policy development at C³ Comprehensive Care Concepts.
Together, Ray and Kim have a mission to provide exceptional care services to those in their charge. They also insist on providing nothing less than top-tier training to the learners who choose C³ as their skills provider.
C³ Comprehensive Care Concepts innovates, while our contemporaries can only hope to duplicate.
Vision
To establish C³ Comprehensive Care Concepts as the preeminent provider of supreme caregiving services, unmatched training and quality products to the care-work, first aid and broader healthcare industries.
Company Purpose
C³ has a deep desire to serve, from providing care with dignity and compassion to our patients as well as being an integral support structure for our patients’ families – C³ is ready to provide helping, healing hands.
Mission
C³ works tirelessly to help our learners obtain the knowledge, skills and competence needed for them to achieve their life goals. We then strive to place our learner alumni with the patients who need their assistance.
We have a learner-centered philosophy governing the training that we provide. We view our learners as individuals and believe that “cookie cutter” style training is not productive or fulfilling for adult learners. Our approach to training reflects this knowledge, that is why we concentrate on tailoring and adapting our training facilitation methods to meet learner needs as much as possible.
C³ Training recognizes that adults learn differently. An adult’s learning and development needs are driven by the desire for life-long advancement, their wants and their personal interests, making them highly motivated learners. An adult learner already has an existing base of knowledge and life experience that they bring with them to their training and adults learn best when they can link any new learning to what they already understand.
Our aim is to provide reasonably priced, quality training, while minimizing course duration in order that our learners can achieve their certifications and begin working in the shortest possible time. C³ avoids presences and gimmicks, instead we deliver well researched, up-to-date and solid training to provide our learners with the knowledge and skills that they need to excel in their occupational environments. Our training programmes are designed and developed directly by us, allowing C³ to remain on the cutting edge of changes or updates that benefit our learners. We work to ensure that our tailored course offerings are aligned to the most recent standards in order to give our learners an advantage in the current competitive employment market.
C³ has adopted a combined distance/online hybrid approach for the delivery of our training programmes, this offers our learners convenience and flexibility. Our training method combines both theoretical and practical elements which are presented by qualified facilitators/training practitioners via C³ Training’s e-learning platform. Our trainers and the e-learning platform combined with other support materials, such as learner guides and learner assessment guides, will take our learners from start all the way through to success.
Although we strive to make our learner’s training experience the least disruptive possible, due to the practical nature of most of our training offerings, our learners will need to undertake a period of experiential training in order to meet the requirements needed to achieve their certifications.
C³ Care Services is influenced by the ethos and ethical practices that govern the nursing and emergency medical services professions, as such, we are committed to providing our patients with care that is compassionate, respectful and competent. We place emphasis on the tested knowledge and proven skills that are likely to give our patients the best possible outcomes.
While care-workers are not presumed to be professional nurses, we view caregiving every bit as much a true vocation which philosophically mirrors nursing in more ways than it does not.
The above notwithstanding, caregivers are in a class of their own. Our dedicated, professional caregivers work without the benefit of diplomas or degrees often relying only on their wits, skill and pure courage to meet the challenging circumstances faced by their patients.
To aid our determined caregivers, C³ Care provides our personnel with detailed policies and procedures applicable to their regulated scope of practice. We ensure that our caregivers are fully equipped to function effectively within the boundaries of their knowledge base and skillset. Wherever permissible we extend our scope of practice to enable our care-workers to assist their patients in more ways, making our caregivers extremely versatile home-based healthcare professionals.
